Frequently asked questions

How do I drop a bag?

On the Map tab, tap Drop a bag. PooDrop records the spot so the bag appears on the community map for others to find and pick up. You'll need location permission turned on.

How do I pick up a bag?

Tap any bag marker on the map, then choose Pick it up to take credit for cleaning it up, or It's not here if the bag is already gone.

How do notifications work?

PooDrop can remind you when you forget your own bag, alert you when you're near a bag on the map, and let you know when someone picks up one of yours. You can turn each of these on or off under Profile → Settings → Notifications. Some alerts require "Always" location access, which you can enable in your device Settings.

Why does PooDrop need my location?

Location is used to center the map on you, to record where you drop a bag, and to send nearby-bag alerts if you enable them. PooDrop only records a location at the moment you drop a bag — it does not track you continuously. You can manage location access anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.

How do I change my username or profile photo?

Open the Profile tab. Tap your photo to upload or change it, and use the edit options to change your username.

How do I reset my password?

On the sign-in screen, tap Continue with email, enter your email, then tap Forgot your password? We'll email you a reset link. (If you use Sign in with Apple, your password is managed by Apple, not PooDrop.)

How do I delete my account?

Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, your dropped-bag records, and your profile photo. This can't be undone.
